As a Group Walk Befriender you and your dog will play a vital role in engaging with the walk participants encouraging inclusivity with the group.
As a Group Walk Befriender Volunteer you and your dog will join in our organised partnered and community group walks. These walks are designed to accommodate participants with varying abilities, potentially including those with learning disabilities and physical disabilities, supporting vulnerable groups and older people. You will be required to engage with participants in a friendly manner and encourage them through the walk. The meet ups take place in the form of a group dog walk, usually in a well established local park.

The time commitment for this role may vary depending on the frequency and duration of group walks. Volunteers are typically expected to commit to a minimum of 6 walks per year or season, with each walk lasting approximately 1-2 hours.
