Team Volunteering Days

HCGA (Healthy Community Gardens Activities)

Working outdoors doing conservation, gardening and maintenance tasks.

Detailed Description

Examples of past projects include building a pond in a school, planting a hedge in a local park and building raised beds in a care home. We also need lots of help with ongoing maintenance at our sites, and that might include weeding, mulching, pruning, harvesting, bulb planting and repairing beds and edging. Our sites benefit from the free labour that corporate volunteers can provide, however we do need to charge in order to cover the costs of staff, preparation and materials. This ensures that we can provide a safe and rewarding experience for your team.

What is in it for you

Increase staff morale, well-being and productivity - the mental and physical health benefits of working in nature are well documented. A day volunteering with us is a break away from screens, phones and clients and an opportunity for staff to recharge. An opportunity for your hybrid working team to get together - these days it can be rare to see all your colleagues in person, in one place! Allow your teams the chance to strengthen their relationships.
