Youth Work
Admin, Art & Craft, Organising & Planning
Our volunteers have the ability to motivate, enthuse and encourage the development of our young people. They are able to plan adapt and run our programme of activities that are linked to developing and enhancing life skills. Volunteers are able to recognise and assess risks of activities being undertaken.
Scouting gives you so many opportunities to grow personally, professionally and socially. Volunteering gives you a chance to empower young people and to create the kind of community and world you want to live in. You can build skills in leadership, communication, planning, self-management and more. Being part of the team helps to improve skills for life - from teamwork and self-management to problem-solving and people skills.
Volunteering with Scouts is based on a flexible model as agreed upon with your group. Any time you can commit is appreciated! We meet weekly during school term times. We do plan and attend periodic weekend events and residentials that we would hope that our volunteers are able to help out to support these type of events (either by helping to plan and/ or attend)
