Lewisham Speaking Up would love to hear from you if you have a learning disability! Are you willing to speak up at board meetings and share your lived experience of having a learning disability? By becoming a Trustee, you will help the board do their best for people with learning disabilities. You must be able to use a laptop, tablet or phone for Zoom meetings 4 times a year. Trustee for Lewisham Speaking Up, an advocacy and self-advocacy charity for people with learning disabilities in Lewisham. Required: - lived experienced of a learning disability - willing to speak up at board meetings and - share your lived experience of having learning disability. - able to use a laptop, tablet or phone for Zoom meetings. - help the board do their best for people with learning disabilities Start date: January 2026.

Support a brilliant small charity Support the Board in governing the charity Get involved with your peers Attend important events, like the AGM, Away Day and get to know other people inside and outside of the charity. Opportunity to join a subcommittee about policies and finances Support throughout the tenure of the role We'll pay for out of pocket expenses (e.g. travel) relating to the Trustee role.
4 to 6 evening board meetings per year (2 - 2.5 hours) Maximum 4 charity events throughout the year
