Can you manage a spreadsheet & pay some bills? You would be a great Treasurer for Southwark Scouts!
Our treasurer plays a key role, monitoring & managing the finances of the Southwark Scouts. Making sure that the District’s financial info is maintained accurately and meets all of the relevant laws, and submitting the district’s annual accounts to the Charity Commission. This is a very flexible volunteer role which you can fit around your family, work and social commitments, you will be required to attend around six Trustee Board meetings every year, plus our Annual General Meeting. Being a part of scouting is great fun and supporting young people can be one of the most rewarding things.

No previous experience of scouting is necessary. What’s more important is your own skills and experience as well as empathy with our mission and values. We provide a warm welcome, a sociable network and some short online learning to support you and help you get started as well as lots of ongoing support. Being a part of scouting is great fun and it goes without saying that supporting young people can be one of the most rewarding things you can do, plus it all looks good on your CV.
