Be our next Befriender! Can you provide a listening ear by home visiting? If you can you spare a hour a week, then we need your help!
Help us fight isolation and loneliness in Bromley & Greenwich by becoming a befriender. Can you provide a listening ear by home visiting or on the telephone? Befriending helps our clients get out and about, socialise, and make new friends whether it's in their own home or out in the local area. Staying in regular contact with the Befriending Team and completing a monthly visit log. Attending regular training opportunities and participating in support sessions. Following Age UK Bromley & Greenwich’s policies and procedures whilst keeping updated with any organizational changes.

A caring supportive nature Excellent communication skills Able to assimilate information by listening and then being able to relay this clearly An open-minded, non-judgmental approach, being professional and friendly A good understanding of equal opportunities and diversity.
