Empathy, listening and communication skills, reliability, organisational skills, curiosity, kindness.
You will have fun, as you laugh, reflect and overcome challenges together, igniting imagination, and being inspired by your mentee as you join on their journey to positive change. You will gain transferable skills relevant for personal and professional development, this includes but is not limited to team working, empathetic leadership, organisation, growth mindset and adaptive communication styles and approaches. Whether you are a mentor on our general or asylum seeker programme, our mentoring often provides the opportunity to learn and understand life from a perspective which is different to your own, this could be due to age, ethnicity, gender, culture and more.
Meet your mentor for 1 hour per week for 12-24 weeks (2-3 hours maximum per week including travel).
