We are looking for people who can collect food surplus and donations from partner organisations.
We are looking for people who are available on Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays to collect food surplus and donations from partner organisations and ensure that items are safely transported and stored in the pantry at the Bromley by Bow Centre.
Driving (must have full driving license)
Basic IT skills - internet & email, Managing People, UK Driving Licence
We are looking for someone who has their own vehicle with a full clean driver’s licence or can responsibly and confidently collect via cab, is physically fit and able to load and unload large donations and/or food surplus, live locally and/or know the local area and can commit to collecting on a regular basis.
The person selected will gain experience in helping to reduce food insecurity and loneliness in a community setting, the opportunity to improve skills including teamwork and communication, receive ongoing support and training relevant to the role and also can claim travel expenses in line with the Bromley by Bow Centre's volunteering policy.
We are looking for volunteers who can help with regular collections and ad hoc donations within Tower Hamlets. We estimate that this role will take 1-2 hours of time depending on the collection/donation. Please let us know when you are available.

The Bromley by Bow Centre is a five-minute walk from Bromley by Bow Tube Station and ten minutes from Devon’s Road DLR Station and Bow Church DLR Station. You can visit us using local bus services; both the D8 and 488 stop outside the Centre on St Leonard’s Street.
