Administrative Support Volunteer

Hackney Caribbean Elderly Organisation

Support HCEO with general administrative tasks to ensure that our services run smoothly and efficiently. Tasks will cover data entry, updating spreadsheets and registers and other varied office duties, working alongside the HCEO staff team.

Detailed Description

HCEO is a well established community organisation for elders in Hackney providing social & cultural activities, music and movement, a dementia memory group and advocacy support. HCEO has a committed team of volunteers to assist us in providing high quality services, but as demand for our services grows, we are looking for more help to enable us to provide support to even more older people across Hackney. This is a role focusing on providing general administrative support to all areas of the organisation, covering tasks such as the following: 1. Data entry - iInput client, volunteer or service data on to the CRM system (training provided) 2. Centre activities – work with the Activities Co-ordinator to complete a regular diary of activities, making posters or notices to put up round the Centre to advertise them 3. Members’ Register – work with the Activities Co-ordinator to ensure that the list of members is updated on a regular basis, with any new members recorded 4. Emails - help respond to and send emails from shared inboxes (with support and supervision) 5. General – update spreadsheets, mailing lists or booking systems 6. General – support with filing, photocopying, printing or scanning as required 7. Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling information

Time Commitment

Flexible - ideally for 4 hours a week on either Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday btwn 1030 to 1700 We are seeking volunteers who are able to commit to attending for a minimum of 3 months
