Volunteer Receptionists

We are looking for volunteers to cover our reception. Weekly on Tuesday or Wednesday mornings.
Our reception is run by a team of friendly volunteers & we are seeking additional volunteers to join our team in EC1. Basic computer skills are required & you need to be confident answering the phone and clearly spoken. In this role you will screen & transfer calls, take messages and pass them onto staff using Outlook, provide a warm welcome to visitors and ensure they sign in and out. You will also use Outlook to check staff availability & whereabouts, deal with requests to send information out and assist with occasional large mailings & other basic admin tasks as they arise.
Administration
Admin, Basic IT skills - internet & email
Applicants must be London based. Please do not apply if you are unable to be physically present in our London office. You will need to be a confident speaker on the phone and ideally have experience of using Outlook, Excel and Word although we can provide training if necessary. Most importantly, you'll need to be reliable, a good timekeeper and committed to helping Scots living in London who are struggling with life. If you have some time to spare, can commit to at least 6 months, preferably longer, wish to meet new people and be part of our friendly community, we would love to hear from you. We can offer a 4 -weeks trial before you commit. Shifts available are: Tuesday mornings 9am - 12pm / Wednesday mornings 9am - 1pm and possibly Thursday mornings.
