Section Assistant for Beavers, Cubs or Scouts aged 18-30

Detailed Description

We are looking for a Section Assistant aged 18-30 for Third Camberwell. You will work as part of a small team to deliver a balanced programme of interesting and fun activities such as: running varied and exciting games and activities as part of weekly section meetings (craft activities, making birdboxes, cooking, chopping wood); assisting young people to achieve badges and awards; and going on camping trips. You do not need to have taken part in Scouting before. We are looking for energy, empathy and enthusiasm. You will receive support and training to help develop useful skills for life!

Why these skills are required

You do not need specific skills. You do not need to have taken part in Scouting previously or necessarily have experience of working with children or young people. We are looking for individuals with energy, empathy and enthusiasm who can work with other volunteers to motivate young people and children to achieve tasks and goals, help each other and have fun.

Time Commitment

We are looking ideally for volunteers who can commit to weekly sessions on one of either Monday or Tuesday evening (depending on the age group).
