Join elop as a Volunteer in one of our HeadsOut Mental Health Services

Detailed Description

We are currently recruiting volunteers to support our Mental Health services, which include group co-facilitators, initial appointment hosts, activity facilitators, mental health plan facilitators. HeadsOut is a strengths-based crisis prevention, intervention and wellbeing LGBT+ support service. To receive your application pack email volunteer@elop.org.

Why these skills are required

• Experience of supporting people with mental distress (essential) • Qualification or training in mental health, counselling, psychology, social work (desirable) • Active listening skills, empathy and professionalism • Excellent verbal and written skills • Non-judgemental, empathic and open approach • Ability to work one-to-one Respecting diversity, understanding and upholding professional boundaries and confidentiality are fundamental to all of our work and you will be required to support this.

Time Commitment
