We Welcome
At our project, we warmly welcome and support a diverse range of volunteers. Our core focus is on removing barriers to participation. Because of our resources and venue setup at the Herbert Butler Community Hall, we are particularly well-equipped to support the following groups: • People with additional needs or disabilities: Our single-level, ground-floor venue offers accessible facilities, and we actively tailor roles by offering flexible shifts, low-level workspace setups, and low-sensory environments for neurodivergent individuals. • Refugees and asylum seekers: We provide a welcoming, community-centred environment where individuals can build local connections, practice conversational English, and gain valuable UK community experience without needing a formal employment background. • Ex-offenders: We believe in new beginnings and look at every applicant on a case-by-case basis, focusing on matching individuals to safe, supportive roles that help build fresh skills and positive local routines.
