We are looking for teaching assistant/general classroom support volunteers to support our supporting teachers and pupils in class. We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic volunteer with an SEN background to support pupils during lunchtime and in the classroom. You will help children engage in learning, develop confidence and independence, support positive behaviour and provide additional support to pupils with SEN needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive difference in our school community. Successful volunteers will carry out a variety of duties and responsibilities, including: • Supporting teachers and teaching assistants with activities and learning within the classroom. • Assisting with general classroom activities and providing practical support to staff where appropriate. • Providing additional support to pupils who may require help with communication, social skills, emotional regulation or other SEN needs. What you will gain: • Gain valuable hands-on experience working with children in a school environment. • Develop practical skills in classroom support, communication and behaviour management. • Gain experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). • Build confidence and develop strong interpersonal skills. • Gain insight into the role of a Teaching Assistant and wider school life. • Work alongside experienced teachers and school staff. • Develop transferable skills that can support future employment, education or career opportunities. • Make a positive and meaningful difference to children's learning, confidence and wellbeing. • Become part of a welcoming and supportive school community.
