Volunteer Gardener

We have space in our regular volunteer gardening groups maintaining green spaces in the Bankside.

Detailed Description

Join us at one of our weekly gardening groups to undertake a variety of activities with guidance from our friendly trained gardening staff. We consider everyone’s circumstances and design sessions that are supportive and safe for everyone. Tasks are suited to all levels of fitness and skills from digging and planting to watering and seed sprinkling. No prior experience is necessary, just enthusiasm and the willingness to get stuck in! Tasks are suited to all levels of fitness and needs from digging and planting to watering and seed sprinkling. No prior gardening experience is necessary, just enthusiasm and the willingness to get stuck in!

What is in it for you

Becoming a gardening volunteer will allow you to gain experience in maintaining green spaces and learn some general gardening skills. Getting outdoors and being in nature and green spaces can also improve your mental and physical health and wellbeing. You will have the opportunity to meet new people and work within a friendly team, all with a goal of improving the local community! We like to reward our volunteers with trips, picnics and talks to say thanks for all their hard work.

Time Commitment

Our sessions run from 10am to 1pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays
