Volunteer Swimming Lesson Lifeguard (City of London)

Hackney Anaconda is a high quality Swim England affiliated swimming club and aims to be your club for life: an inclusive, encouraging and enjoyable competitive swimming club. We are looking for a 3 qualified Lifeguard or NRASTC volunteer to provide poolside cover and support with reception duties while swimming lessons are taking place.

Detailed Description

Hackney Anaconda is a high quality Swim England affiliated swimming club and aims to be your club for life: an inclusive, encouraging and enjoyable competitive swimming club. We are looking for a qualified Lifeguard or NRASTC volunteer to provide poolside cover and support with reception duties while swimming lessons are taking place. The role will involve supporting the safe and smooth running of swimming lessons through a combination of poolside supervision and reception-based duties. Duties and responsibilities include: - Help ensure sessions run safely and smoothly. - Welcome swimmers and families - Assist with basic reception duties - Respond appropriately to any incidents. What’s in it for you: - Get actively involved in a young person's swimming development. - Personal Development: you learn more about swimming. - Keep Anaconda going as an active community club. Opportunities are available on Saturdays at City of London Girls’ School. Volunteers would need to complete a Swim England Safeguarding course - this will be paid for by Hackney Anaconda if the prospective volunteer has not done it already.

Walk toward the Barbican Centre lakeside area. Follow the pedestrian signage for St Giles' Terrace or St Giles' Church. The school entrance sits securely right on this plaza level facing the water.
