We are looking for an organised and reliable Bookkeeping & Finance Support Volunteer to help maintain accurate financial records and support the day-to-day financial administration of Bold Waters.
Bold Waters is a community organisation working to remove barriers to water safety, swimming and access to the outdoors. We deliver inclusive programmes that improve water safety awareness, confidence, leadership, wellbeing and employability, with a particular focus on supporting underrepresented communities. We are looking for an organised and reliable Bookkeeping & Finance Support Volunteer to help maintain accurate financial records and support the day-to-day financial administration of Bold Waters. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain practical bookkeeping experience or share their existing skills to support a growing community organisation. You will help ensure our financial records are accurate, organised and up to date, providing a strong foundation for the organisation as it continues to grow. Duties and responsibilities: ● Organise and maintain financial records. ● Record income and expenditure accurately. ● Process and organise receipts and invoices. ● Assist with preparing and tracking invoices. ● Maintain an organised digital finance filing system. ● Support the reconciliation of financial records. ● Help prepare financial information for the accountant when required. ● Ensure financial documents are stored accurately and securely. ● Support the organisation of financial information for funding reports and grant monitoring where appropriate. ● Maintain confidentiality when handling financial information. This is a remote volunteer opportunity with flexible hours.

Essential: ● Good attention to detail. ● Organised and methodical. ● Comfortable working with numbers. ● Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. ● Able to work independently. ● Trustworthy and able to handle confidential information appropriately. Desirable: ● Previous bookkeeping or finance administration experience. ● Experience using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks or similar. ● Studying towards, or qualified in, bookkeeping or accounting. ● Interest in supporting the voluntary or community sector
By volunteering with Bold Waters, you will: ● Gain practical bookkeeping and finance administration experience. ● Develop transferable skills within a growing social impact organisation. ● Build experience working alongside a supportive and passionate team. ● Contribute to programmes that improve water safety, wellbeing and access to the outdoors. ● Strengthening CV whilst supporting important community causes ● Receive a reference following a successful period of volunteering.
Approximately 1–3 hours per week, depending on organisational activity. Flexible hours. Remote volunteering.
