We're looking for an Outreach & Community Volunteer to help us connect with schools, libraries and local partners across Hackney and beyond. Perfect for anyone who enjoys people, relationship building and community engagement. Flexible hours, remote friendly. No experience necessary.
About ThreadPoint ThreadPoint is a social impact organisation helping children, schools and communities understand the physical systems behind AI, cloud computing, data centres and digital infrastructure. Through creative workshops, research, books and community programmes, we're building infrastructure literacy across the UK. We currently run sessions across Hackney, Camden and beyond, working with schools, libraries and community partners. About the Role We're looking for an enthusiastic Outreach & Community Volunteer to help us connect with schools, libraries, community organisations and local partners. If you enjoy meeting people, building relationships and helping great ideas reach more communities, we'd love to hear from you. Responsibilities: 1. Research local schools, community organisations and education contacts 2. Support outreach to schools and community groups 3. Help distribute promotional materials and resources 4. Assist with survey promotion and community engagement 5. Help identify local events and networking opportunities 6. Maintain outreach records using Airtable

We would welcome someone who: 1. Is friendly and confident communicating with people 2. Is organised and proactive 3. Enjoys community engagement and relationship building 4. Has good written communication skills 5. Shares our passion for education, digital inclusion and social impact Experience is helpful but not essential.
