The Gascoyne One Lunch Club provides a free, freshly cooked three-course meal every Tuesday at the Gascoyne One Community Centre in Hackney Wick. We need volunteers to help to prepare and serve weekly community lunch.
The Gascoyne One Lunch Club provides a free, freshly cooked three-course meal every Tuesday at the Gascoyne One Community Centre in Hackney Wick. We are in need of kitchen and dining room support volunteers to help run our club. Help to prepare food in the kitchen, serve and washing up for the Community Lunch . You would be part of a team of ten volunteers altogether, where there is a good working atmosphere.
Catering
Organising & Planning
Basic food preparation and cleaning skills. The volunteers engage with our guests when serving the food, so some social skills would be an advantage.
To be part of a friendly team of volunteers in a successful community hub which attracts a diverse group of about 60 guests each Tuesday for a two course lunch. Lunch is offered to volunteers and there is often food remaining which volunteers have first choice of.

THE CENTRE IS BETWEEN HARROWGATE ROAD AND GASCOYNE ROAD OPPOSITE THE PEOPLE'S PARK TAVERN. TRANSPORT INCLUDES 388 BUS FROM STRATFORD OR FROM TOWN ; 26 AT GASCOYNE ROAD:, 30 AT CARDINAL POLE SCHOOL. HOMERTON MILDMAY LINE STATION.
