Volunteer Centre Hackney
You will need to live in the Hackney Marshes E5 area. We are looking for a volunteer with crochet/knitting experience who can share their skills weekly with participants who want to learn how to crochet/knit.
Together Better is a Volunteer Centre Hackney project that aims to lighten the load on GP surgeries and encourage patients into activities that will benefit their health and well being, by supporting them to build inclusive and sustainable relationships and overall healthier lives. Lower Clapton General Practice is looking for a crochet/knitting volunteer. This knitting/crochet club will offer participants the opportunity to learn and provide a space where people can get together and crochet together. The volunteer will offer advice and guidance to participants if they get stuck. Responsibilities would include: - Welcoming patients - Taking a register/signing people in - Setting up and tidying up the resources. - Offering advice and knowledge about sewing/ crochet/ knitting - Making everyone feel welcomed

Experience in crochet and knitting preferably.
This opportunity gives you the chance to give back to your local community in E5. Other fellow patients are keen to learn how to crochet/knit and you would be helping theme to achieve that goal. also, you would be supported and receive relevant volunteer training too.
Weekly for 4 hours in total including setting up and clearing away; teaching and weekly catch up chats. 6 weekly supervision
