Are you passionate about social justice, racial justice, and human rights? Do you want to make a real impact in the non-profit sector? We are looking for creative volunteers to help grow our social media presence and amplify one of the UK’s leading campaigns for justice for the Windrush generation.

Detailed Description

Justice 4 Windrush is a national charity founded by actor Colin McFarlane and singer Annie Lennox in July 2024. In just two years it has become one of the UK’s fastest-growing charities campaigning for justice for the Windrush generation, securing national coverage across Channel 4 News, LBC, newspapers and radio, while helping improve Passport Office training. We are looking for up the three creative volunteers to help grow our social media presence and amplify one of the UK’s leading campaigns for justice for the Windrush generation. Working remotely and flexibly, you’ll create engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, X and YouTube, helping to raise awareness of the ongoing Home Office scandal affecting the Windrush generation, educate the public and inspire lasting change. Whilst experience of all social media platforms is desirable we’re particularly interested in people with experience of Facebook. LinkedIn and YouTube. What you’ll do ● Create and schedule engaging content across our social media channels. ● Share the stories behind our campaigns, events and the people at the heart of our work, while responding to relevant news and current affairs. ● Monitor engagement and respond to comments where appropriate. ● Develop creative ideas for posts, videos and digital campaigns. ● Work alongside our founder, actor Colin McFarlane, and collaborate with journalists, filmmakers, campaigners and other high-profile supporters. We’re looking for someone who ● Is passionate about social justice, equality and human rights. ● Has experience creating content for social media. ● Can use Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express or similar creative tools. ● Is creative, organised and enjoys working collaboratively. ● Is keen to learn and help grow a national movement for change.
