Are you passionate about social justice, racial justice, and human rights? Do you want to make a real impact in the non-profit sector? We are looking for dedicated Digital Storytellers to help us maintain a consistent, engaging presence across our platforms. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with high-profile figures across the entertainment and media industry. Justice 4 is a registered charity and umbrella organisation dedicated to tackling systemic injustices through advocacy, education, and radical storytelling. Justice 4 Windrush, our inaugural campaign, is committed to exposing the ongoing Home Office scandal that continues to impact the Windrush generation and other Commonwealth communities, while driving systemic change to combat the hostile and racist attitudes towards immigration embedded in Britain’s history and perpetuated through its policies and practices today. As a J4 Digital Storyteller, you will work as part of a team to ensure our channels are active, relevant, and impactful. This is a flexible, remote opportunity with the chance to contribute meaningfully to one of the UK’s most important social justice campaigns. You’ll be reporting to Nelle Porter, Operations Manager and Colin McFarlane, our founder and CEO. What You’ll Be Doing: • Creating, editing, and curating engaging content for Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, TikTok, and LinkedIn; including: short-form videos, carousel posts, graphics, reels, BTS, campaign updates, interviews, live event coverage and more. • Contributing to an ‘always on’ approach to social media - ensuring our channels remain active and responsive. • Staying up to date with current online trends, social issues, and news relevant to Justice4’s mission. • Responding to comments, messages, and mentions with professionalism and care. • Monitoring and sharing social media metrics to help maximise reach and engagement. • Coming up with creative ideas for posts, stories, and campaigns that align with Justice4’s message. • Supporting Justice4’s live events and digital campaigns when required. • Collaborating with fellow volunteers and the core team to coordinate content planning. • Come up with creative ideas for content that align with Justice4’s mission. • Conduct research into Justice4’s target audience and identify the best way to engage them. What We’re Looking For Essential • A genuine passion for social justice, politics, racial justice, and human rights. • A keen interest in Justice4’s core missions and values. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style across different platforms including; TikTok, X, LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram • Strong editing and proofreading skills with attention to detail. • Creative thinking and the ability to generate original content ideas. • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage tasks independently. • Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively as part of a team. • Cultural awareness and sensitivity when communicating about issues of race, identity, and human rights. • Basic graphic design or video editing skills (e.g. Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express) are essential. Desirable: • Good understanding of social media analytics tools (e.g. Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar). • Experience managing social media accounts, campaigns, or community pages.
