Volunteer Filmmaker (City of London)

WIILMA exists to tackle loneliness and isolation, increase community cohesion, and provide advocacy and research on important issues facing our communities. We are looking for an experienced film maker to support us with our aims and objectives in the City of London.
We are looking for experienced filmmakers who wish to work on community film projects ranging from documenting a specific project journey, such as a heritage and culture legacy film, short documentaries raising awareness of specific community issues. Transform your visual storytelling skills into a catalyst for community change! As a filmmaker, you will shoot and direct impactful documentaries that capture heritage legacies and raise awareness of local issues. Your compelling films will educate, inspire, and engage a wider audience.

● Cultural & Historical Insight: Deepen your understanding of local history, heritage archiving, and historical research methodologies. ● Creative Health & Wellbeing: Gain firsthand knowledge of how the arts, music, and culture can be actively used to improve community health and mental wellbeing. ● Community Dynamics: Learn about the inner workings of the non-profit sector, social outreach, and local community needs.
This will vary but a minimum of 3-5 hours per week or more depending on volunteer availability and if they wish to volunteer more hours.
