Marketing Volunteer – Immediate Theatre
Immediate Theatre
Could you help Immediate Theatre reach more communities and supporters through the power of PR, social media and digital storytelling? You don’t need a theatre background, just enthusiasm, basic digital communication skills, and the ability to connect with a wide range of people. If you already have experience in social media, marketing, or digital content creation, that’s fantastic, but it’s not essential. We’d love to hear from you and help you get involved.
Immediate Theatre works across Hackney and East London to engage young people, adults, and local communities in creative projects that inspire wellbeing and break down barriers. We use our website and various social media platforms and tools to raise awareness of our youth theatres, community programmes, productions, and public events. A Marketing Volunteer would help us strengthen our online presence, keep content fresh and accessible, and share the real stories of the communities we work with. As part of a team of staff, freelancers, and volunteers, you may: Support the planning and posting of content across Immediate Theatre’s social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok). Capture or collect photos and videos from rehearsals, workshops, youth theatre sessions, productions, and community events. Keep online content current, accurate, and engaging. Ensure consistent use of Immediate Theatre’s tone, values, and visual style. Assist freelance marketing or PR professionals with tasks such as collating press materials, supporting campaign delivery, and gathering stories from participants. Help analyse digital engagement and use these insights to shape future content ideas. Support the development of online campaigns that complement offline activity (community workshops, performances, youth programmes). Contribute to blog posts, newsletters, and updates for the website. Please note: Elements of this role may evolve as the organisation’s communications strategy develops.
