Are you passionate about helping others improve their health and wellbeing through gentle movement and mindfulness? Join our community programme, Together Better, as a volunteer Tai Chi Instructor and make a real difference in people’s lives. As a Tai Chi Instructor, you'll lead weekly group sessions for patients and community members in a welcoming, non-clinical space within the GP surgery. You'll be offering more than just physical activity; you'll be helping people connect, reduce stress, and gain confidence in their bodies. Key Tasks: • Plan and deliver safe, inclusive, and engaging Tai Chi sessions. • Adapt movements to suit different abilities and needs. • Welcome and encourage participants, creating a warm and supportive atmosphere. • Set up the space and ensure a calm environment for practice. • Record attendance and provide basic feedback to the Together Better team. • Share ideas to help grow and improve the group. This is an ideal opportunity for someone trained in Tai Chi who enjoys working with people and wants to give back to the community. You’ll be part of a friendly, volunteer-led initiative supported by the surgery’s team, helping to reduce social isolation and support healthier lifestyles. Whether you're newly qualified or experienced, your time and energy can bring real joy and benefit to others. Come and be part of something meaningful — Together Better.
