ThreadPoint is a Hackney-based creative education studio delivering hands-on LEGO workshops that help families understand where the internet lives and how digital infrastructure works. Following a recent borough-wide commission, we are seeking a Volunteer Marketing & Communications Coordinator to support visibility, storytelling, and local engagement for our year-long Hackney programme. This is an opportunity to shape communications around a growing, council-backed initiative working at the intersection of education, digital inclusion, and infrastructure. Responsibilities include: • Supporting social media planning and scheduling (LinkedIn & Instagram). • Drafting newsletters and community updates for Hackney residents. • Assisting with press outreach and local media engagement. • Helping develop marketing materials for upcoming workshops. • Identifying partnership and amplification opportunities within the borough. • Supporting documentation of impact through creative storytelling. You will work closely with the Founder to refine messaging and ensure a consistent brand voice. This role is ideal for someone who understands that marketing is about positioning and audience, not just "posting content." The Details: • Time: Approx. 3–5 hours per week. • Location: Flexible and remote-friendly. • Growth: Potential to grow into a paid communications role as the programme expands.
