The Garden Classroom is a charity dedicated to reconnecting people with nature. We run a weekly urban food growing project and are always looking for new volunteers to join us on a Thursday morning. We have a small food growing site on the border of Islington and Hackney where we grow fruit, veg, salads and flowers. If you're keen to learn more about food growing, or want to share your skills and get your hands dirty, come along and join us. You'll get to sow seeds, transplant, make compost, create habitat and enjoy time outdoors Everyone is welcome. No experience needed. We provide gloves, tools, guidance and refreshments.
