At Hackney Migrant Centre, we provide essential support to refugees, asylum seekers, and other migrants in need, offering free, expert advice on immigration and welfare. Our services extend beyond advice—we create a welcoming and community space where individuals can access a warm meals, connect with others, and feel part of a supportive community. Hackney Migrant Centre (HMC) is seeking to recruit volunteers to help run the creche at its Wednesday advice and support sessions, in collaboration with another longstanding volunteer. Many of our visitors are parents with young children and the creche has proved an invaluable part of the session, allowing parents to focus on explaining the help they need and listening to the advice they receive in the knowledge that their children are safe and well looked after. There are always two creche volunteers present at each session.
