Volunteering at HMC provides an opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of our visitors and to help build solidarity within our community. We work with a supportive team of volunteers – many themselves migrants and former visitors to HMC. The work provides experience and knowledge in the specific areas of migration, housing, health and welfare policy – and further training on these is available. This experience has helped many of our volunteers to find work within the voluntary sector or to study relevant subject areas.
Volunteers are expected to do at least one session monthly, Wednesdays, 9.00 – 17.00 and to commit to volunteering for at least six months.
