As a Welcome Volunteer, you’ll meet lots of different people and empower them to explore V&A East Museum by recommending things to do based on their interests. No arts background or special skills are required, just friendliness and a curious mind – all training is provided! This role is based at V&A East Museum.

No arts background or special skills are required, just friendliness and a curious mind – all training is provided! This role is based at V&A East Museum. To become a volunteer, you need to attend a selection event and an induction event. Each event runs from approximately 10:00 – 15:00. The available dates are: 10 October- Selection Event 13 October - Selection Event 21 October - Induction Event 24 October - Induction Event Unfortunately, we are unable to offer alternative dates for the selection and induction event, so these dates and times do not work for you, please wait for a future recruitment round to apply Get in touch with us at eastvolunteering@vam.ac.uk if you have any questions. What you will be doing? • Greet visitors and find out what interests them. • Suggest interesting activities, events and displays that people will enjoy. • Share the story of V&A East and how different people are shaping the collection. • Explore a remarkable collection, with support to learn about objects that interest you and share your discoveries. Disclaimer: Successful applicants for this role will be required to undergo a basic DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check. This will be carried out by the V&A. All relevant training and support will be provided.

We’d love for you to join us minimum once a month. Volunteering slots are available during the weekdays, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons and mornings, between 2-4 hours, so you can decide what’s best for you.
