About Us The View: CiC is a feminist justice platform committed to amplifying the voices of women with lived experience of the criminal justice system. We are building a cross-platform mobile application that will serve as a digital hub for advocacy, education, creative expression, and expert support. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a meaningful social-impact project, gain hands-on experience, and help shape a tool that directly supports vulnerable communities. 🛠️ What We’re Building Our mobile app will include: - In-app magazine with responsive, accessible article pages - Marketplace to showcase and sell artwork by community artists, with secure payment integration - Podcast section with streaming and download functionality - CMS integration for managing magazine content, marketplace items, and podcast uploads - Secure backend with user authentication, encrypted messaging, and GDPR compliance - Scalable architecture to support growing user and content volume - Admin dashboard for moderation, analytics, and user management - Push notifications for campaigns, updates, and news - Cross-platform mobile frontend, ideally built with Flutter 👩💻 Who We’re Looking For We welcome student developers and volunteers with experience or interest in: - Flutter & Dart for mobile development - Node.js/Express or Django for backend development - Headless CMS integration (e.g., Strapi) and secure API setup - Payment gateway integration (Stripe, PayPal) - Mobile/web security: encryption, GDPR, authentication flows - Real-time messaging and push notification services - Database management: MongoDB, Firebase, SQL/NoSQL - Cloud hosting & scalable architecture (AWS, containerization) - Analytics and dashboard development 💡 What You’ll Gain - Real-world experience in full-stack development - Collaboration with a passionate advocacy team - Portfolio-worthy contributions to a live product - Insight into feminist justice and creative activism - Flexible, remote-friendly engagement

We’re Looking For Volunteers With The Following Experience: Flutter & Dart for mobile app development Backend development with Node.js/Express or Django Headless CMS integration and secure API setup Payment gateway integration (Stripe, PayPal, etc.) (or willingness to explore it) Mobile and web security, including encryption, GDPR practices, and authentication flows Real-time messaging implementation and push notification services Database management (MongoDB, Firebase, SQL/NoSQL) and basic optimization Scalable architecture (cloud hosting, containerization) Analytics / dashboard development and user moderation tools
