Are you passionate about using yoga to help NHS patients improve their health and wellbeing? Join our community programme of volunteers in GP Practices, Together Better, as a volunteer yoga teacher and make a real difference in people’s lives.

Detailed Description

Together Better is a Volunteer Centre Hackney project that aims to lighten the load on GP surgeries and encourage NHS patients into activities that will benefit their health and wellbeing, by supporting them to build inclusive and sustainable relationships and overall healthier lives. We are looking for a yoga volunteer to deliver a weekly gentle yoga class for patients at a GP surgery based in N16. As a volunteer yoga teacher, you'll lead weekly group sessions for patients and community members in a welcoming, non-clinical space. We are open to any type of yoga, but bear in mind that you will be working with a wide range of different bodies and capabilities. We’re seeking a volunteer to continue a much-loved activity with Together Better at Spring Hill Practice. You’ll be fully supported to run your own yoga class for patients. You'll be offering more than just physical activity; you'll be helping people to connect, reduce stress, and gain confidence in their bodies.
