Volunteering on a Youth Justice Panel you will co-create programmes for children who have offended and admitted guilt. The panels focus on restorative justice and prioritise the needs of the child, aiming to help them understand and take responsibility for their actions, and to make amends to victims and the community. You will: - Co-create interventions and activities to help children repair harm they've caused. - Address key aspects of their lives that may lead to future offending.
Volunteering on a Youth Justice Panel gives you the opportunity to co-create programmes for children who have offended and admitted guilt. The panels focus on restorative justice and prioritise the needs of the child, aiming to help them understand and take responsibility for their actions, and to make amends to victims and the community. As a panel member, you will: - Co-create interventions and activities to help children repair the harm they've caused. - Address key aspects of their lives that may lead to future offending. To be a panellist, you must live or work in Tower Hamlets. We provide comprehensive training, and your expenses will be covered. This role is a great way to positively impact young people, their families, and the community. No specific skills, however you do need to be living or working in Tower Hamlets and consent to an Enhanced DBS check. Volunteers with spent convictions will be considered. Volunteers must be aged 18+.

You can expect to give 2 to 3 hour per month volunteering.
