Would you like to volunteer to support the Carers Centre Tower Hamlets as a receptionist and greeter of visitors? Carers Centre Tower Hamlets are looking for an enthusiastic reception volunteer to help us with a variety of tasks including; meeting people at the door, directing them to the right team member, answering phones, and ensuring that all visitors are welcomed and happy. You will receive full support.

Carers Centre Tower Hamlets is looking for an enthusiastic reception volunteer to help us with a variety of tasks including; meeting people at the door, directing them to the right team member, answering phones, and ensuring that all visitors are welcomed and happy. You will make check-in phone calls to carers who have not engaged with CCTH services for 18 months or more. You will be part of a friendly team and will receive full support to carry out the role. Ideally, we would like volunteers to stay with us for at least 6 months.

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us with a variety of tasks including meeting people at the door, directing them to the CCTH team member, answering phones, ensuring that all visitors are welcomed and are happy and provided with refreshments. Main Tasks: • To maintain an efficient reception service on behalf of the Carers Wellbeing Academy Manager and Carers Centre. • To prepare the main hall with refreshments and to regularly check that all remains stocked as well as checking the hall is kept tidy. • Make sure all visitors sign in and follow our fire, health and safety and code of conduct procedures. • To undertake the check in calls with carers not engaging in CCTH services for 18 months or more in and around day-to-day role tasks. • You will be part of a friendly team and receive full support to carry out the role. • To respect at all times the CCTH policies including the confidential nature of the Carers Centre. • To undertake training as required to learn our database and other associated IT.
Volunteers will be part of a dynamic team that supports the most vulnerable people within the community and will have opportunities for training. Reasonable expenses will be reimbursed upon receipt for public transport and lunch costs. Volunteers will get a references after 6 months volunteering
Ideally you will volunteer for one weekday per week for 6 months or longer. A day shift is 10am to 3pm.
