IT Volunteer with MONDAY.COM expertise
Bags of Taste
Support Bags of Taste to maintain and develop our Monday.com course management system. Help us add new features, fix issues, and extend it to manage volunteers. Ideal for someone experienced with Monday.com (including automations, formulas, and Make.com), and familiar with APIs. Flexible, ad hoc role to provide small project support and/or occasional troubleshooting.
Bags of Taste is the leading food skills educator in the UK. We work with highly vulnerable people with mental and physical health challenges, poverty, and other difficult life circumstances to improve what they eat and their finances. We use Monday.com to register students, allocate them to a course and track their progress. We need help to maintain the system and to extend to other functionality. 1. We have some extra bells and whistles we'd like on the system, which could be a small project for someone. 2. Ad hoc support. We also need some very low level, long term support - someone to call when we don't know how to do something, or that can make small changes like if we have a new data collection field. Our team will resolve as many issues as possible but for more complicated issues we need help investigating and resolving bugs. 3. Development. We need additional features for the course management system and to extend the system to include management of our volunteers. You will have experience of developing and maintaining Monday.com systems. You should be familiar with all column types, including formulae, and confident in the use of custom automations. You will know techniques to work around some of the limitations of Monday (such as triggering automations from a different board). You should have at least some experience of using Make.com from Monday.com. Experience of GraphQL and in particular the Monday.com API would be an advantage. Immediate tasks will include establishing a separate development environment and extending the system for volunteer management. We do have an office in Hackney if people want to sometimes work in person, but the role can be conducted fully remotely and is open to anyone living in the UK
