The role involves regular cleaning duties, reporting maintenance issues and supporting the Premises Team to ensure high standards are maintained for staff, worshippers and visitors. This opportunity is for women only, as the role is based within the women’s prayer space and facilities.

The volunteer should be reliable, trustworthy and able to work independently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and professionalism. Good attention to detail, time management and an understanding of Health & Safety procedures are important, along with a respectful and positive attitude when working within the women’s prayer space and alongside staff and visitors.
Volunteers will gain valuable workplace experience in cleaning operations and teamwork within a professional and community focused environment. The role also provides an opportunity to develop practical skills, build confidence, responsibility and contribute positively to the wellbeing of the local community while supporting an important place of worship.
Maryam Centre is open 7 days a week (10am – 7pm). Flexible times to suit volunteer.
