Marie Curie is the UK’s leading end-of-life charity offering services in Hackney and across the UK. We are in need of community fundraiser volunteers who can make a difference with Marie Curie by helping organise collections or monitoring tins in your local area.
Our Community Fundraising Volunteers use their local knowledge and contacts to help raise vital funds for Marie Curie nursing care, our support line and research. Marie Curie is the UK’s leading end-of-life charity offering services in Hackney and across the UK. Being a Community Fundraising Volunteer can include the following tasks: • Place and empty collection boxes in pubs, shops and other locations • Host collections in your area. This involves organising collector handover and fundraising materials at these collections, bank the money raised • Be the cheery face of Marie Curie

Just basic IT and friendly face. This volunteer role involves interacting with the local community so being friendly and kind are a must.
An excellent opportunity to build on your skills in a charity environment An induction, training, support and supervision in your role.
Super flexible and can vary based on volunteers own pre-existing commitments and time. Depending which aspect the volunteer is focusing on as a community volunteer. This can be as little as a couple of hours here and there to distribute, collect then bank money from collection tins. Or can be hosting one of our collections which can be as little as a day at Christmas then a day in the spring.
