All we ask is that our Youth Volunteering Facilitators enjoy working with children and are reliable, helpful, kind and enthusiastic! It’s great if Youth Volunteering Facilitators have a skill / enjoy doing activities like arts and crafts, cooking and baking, gardening, sewing, creative writing, woodwork/DIY that is useful to TimeGivers, but it is not a requirement! Most of our volunteering activities last between 1 hour and 3 hours, and Youth Volunteering Facilitators will be on their feet for a lot of the time, so a reasonable level of fitness is needed.
• A chance to inspire children and young people to give back for life • Connect children and young people to their local community and good causes • Help forge stronger community networks • Boost your confidence and self-esteem • Learn new creative skills • The chance to meet likeminded people and make new friends • Increase your volunteering experience and help children and young people begin theirs
We need Youth Volunteering Facilitators during School Term Time (Winter, Spring and Summer), Monday-Friday (within school hours, for 1-3 hours). Youth Volunteering Facilitators are welcome to choose from supporting TimeGivers for a one-off event, or being a more regular volunteer (e.g. supporting a weekly club for 4-6 weeks consecutively).
