Detailed Description

The View Magazine is seeking an Experienced Editor with 5+ years of experience to support the production of our upcoming issue 15, focusing on feminism, justice, and human rights. This is a volunteer position for a skilled editor with at least 5 years of experience in publishing, journalism, or academic editing. You will work closely with our team to review, refine, and polish written content, ensuring articles meet high editorial standards and align with our mission. This will include checking for grammar, style, and consistency, fact-checking where required, and collaborating with writers to strengthen their contributions. We are looking for someone who is passionate about amplifying the voices of women and marginalized groups, and who can bring both professionalism and sensitivity to the editing process. The role is remote, and you will work with a committed team of volunteers who share strong values around feminism, justice, and human rights. Key responsibilities: Line edit and proofread articles for Issue 15 of The View Magazine. Ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with house style and values. Collaborate with writers and the editorial team to improve clarity and impact. Support the editorial workflow by meeting deadlines and providing constructive feedback. This is an opportunity to make a direct impact by contributing your expertise to a publication changing the narrative around women in the justice system.

Why these skills are required
