Reception and Admin Volunteer

As a Reception and Admin Volunteer you will: • Help to provide a welcoming and professional reception service: greeting visitors, answering the telephone, dealing with enquiries and booking appointments. • Ensure visitors are directed towards either the correct activity area, member of staff or activities tutor. • Help to ensure that visitors to the centre sign the Visitors Book where necessary • General office duties: data entry, filing, photocopying, faxing, mailing, word processing.

Detailed Description

Stifford Community Centre is looking for volunteers to support with basic admin duties and provide reception cover Monday to Saturday, between 9am and 6pm. Days and hours of volunteering are flexible to suit your availability. As a Reception and Admin Volunteer you will: • Help to provide a welcoming and professional reception service: greeting visitors, answering the telephone, dealing with enquiries and booking appointments. • Ensure visitors are directed towards either the correct activity area, member of staff or activities tutor. • Help to ensure that visitors to the centre sign the Visitors Book where necessary • Carry out general office duties including data entry, filing, photocopying, faxing, mailing and maintaining adequate stocks of stationery. • Occasional word-processing of documents using Microsoft Word • To help with ad hoc duties when Stifford Centre hosts events/ activities.

You must be available for a minimum of 6 weeks, ideally longer. You should be able to give 6 hours a week of your time.
