Together Better - John Scott Health Centre are looking for an English teacher ESOL/TEFL specifically working with asylum seekers. This is an exciting opportunity to get experience and practice your skills, while giving back to your local community.
Together Better is a Volunteer Centre Hackney project that aims to lighten the load on GP surgeries and encourage patients into activities that will benefit their health and wellbeing, by supporting them to build inclusive and sustainable relationships and overall healthier lives. We are looking for an English teacher English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)/Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) specifically working with asylum seekers at the John Scott Health Centre in the North of Hackney. English levels of students will vary vastly from complete beginners to conversational English. This role will be shared with at least one other volunteer. Needs to ideally be available Wednesday 2 – 3pm. But please apply if you are available other times during the week.
