Asthma + Lung UK

As an Ambassador Volunteer, you'll help raise awareness of our charity's mission and promote lung health in your community by attending events, delivering talks and presentations, and encouraging others to get involved in volunteering, fundraising or campaigning activities.

Detailed Description

As an Ambassador Volunteer, you'll help raise awareness of our charity's mission and promote lung health in your community by attending events, delivering talks and presentations, and encouraging others to get involved in volunteering, fundraising or campaigning activities. You'll help us to reach new people, inspire new community activities, and thank our supporters. You'll be linked with the appropriate Asthma + Lung UK team who will support you along the way. While bringing your own knowledge and experience to the role, you'll also have the chance to develop new skills whilst making a great contribution to the work of the charity. We welcome applications from people from all areas of the community, who have a passion for supporting their local community and an interest in raising awareness of lung health issues. Tasks and responsibilities • Championing the charity by raising awareness of our work through talking to colleagues, friends and family and on social media and by promoting planned initiatives and activities. • Connecting us with individuals, communities, businesses, healthcare professionals and partners who can help us achieve our mission. • Providing feedback and staying in touch with your A+LUK contact • Giving your insight and ideas to help co-design new activities, interventions and input into local strategic priorities. • Attending scheduled events and presentations to deliver talks about our work and to inspire people to get involved. • Promoting our campaigns and petitions with your networks and on social media. • Growing the A+LUK community by identifying and signpost potential volunteers, beneficiaries or partners. • Helping raise funds by promoting the key ways people can give to the charity, like making a donation, leaving a legacy or participating in a fundraising event, such as challenge events and community fundraising.
