Healthy Island Partnership is recruiting residents of Poplar, Limehouse East, and the Isle of Dogs to take part in a Wellbeing Changemaker programme. Learn how to reach your community, gain leadership skills, shape small projects that bring neighbours together and support local wellbeing. Wellbeing Changemakers can be involved in different activities such as: • Conversations and community listening sessions to understand what matters most. • Co-designing and leading small projects eg walking groups, gardening groups, coffee mornings, sports day activities. • Supporting local initiatives – working with partners in the neighbourhood to promote and volunteer at community health and wellbeing events eg supporting community festivals and events. • Celebrating and sharing successes – showcasing projects, gathering feedback, and inspiring others. • Signposting your neighbours to wellbeing services locally.

You must be over 18 years old and live in either Poplar, Limehouse East or the Isle of Dogs. No particular skills are required.
Becoming a Changemaker could not only improve your health and wellbeing, it can also be very rewarding and widen your social circle while you are engaging with your local community. It can boost your confidence and you can learn new skills for opportunities in the future. Training is provided.
Anytime you can provide is perfect. This could be an hour or two a week/month during mornings, evenings or at weekends.
