Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park is London’s most central woodlands, an important Local Nature Reserve, and a Metropolitan Site of Importance for Nature Conservation (SINC). Do you want to get involved in helping us care for the wildlife and plant life of the Park, and learn some new skills? We offer Nature Conservation volunteering sessions weekly on Tuesdays, 11am to 3pm, and on the first Sunday of each month, 11am to 3pm. Volunteers play a vital role in creating a safe and welcoming space for visitors and the various habitats within the park. We supply all tools and equipment and provide tea and coffee. Bring food and drinks, and your own gloves if you have them. Please wear suitable outdoor clothes, full-length trousers (no shorts!) and sturdy shoes. Volunteers do not need any previous experience as training is provided. Given the nature of the work involved, volunteers should be physically fit, but we will happily support enthusiastic volunteers in modifying duties to support participation. No application form or interview! Just book your session and turn up. Anyone is welcome to come to the open volunteering sessions on each date. You don't have to commit to multiple weeks.
