Use your energy, enthusiasm, and voice to help power our incredible runners across the London Marathon finish line and make life-changing wishes possible. Event details: Date: Sunday 26th April Time: Arrive approx. 10:00am | Finish approx. 2:30pm Location: Tower Bridge area, London Nearest stations: Tower Hill / Tower Gateway (DLR) How You Can Help Can you spare a few hours on Sunday 26th April to support one of the most exciting days in our fundraising calendar? We’re looking for friendly, enthusiastic volunteers to join the Make-A-Wish UK London Marathon Cheer Squad Team. You’ll be there to cheer, clap, wave banners, and bring the noise for our amazing #WishHero runners as they take on 26.2 miles for seriously ill children. Your support on the day makes a huge difference — boosting morale, creating unforgettable moments, and helping ensure our runners feel proud, supported, and celebrated. This is a one-off, flexible volunteering opportunity with no ongoing commitment. What You Will Be Doing as a Cheer Spot Volunteer You’ll be fully briefed and supported by our Challenge Events team. On the day, you will: - Arrive at the agreed London cheer location and meet fellow Make-A-Wish volunteers - Help create a vibrant, welcoming cheer spot using banners, clappers, and plenty of enthusiasm - Cheer on and motivate our #WishHero runners as they pass by - Help spot Make-A-Wish runners and make sure they feel supported and celebrated - Represent Make-A-Wish UK positively to runners and spectators Please note: we’re unable to reserve a fixed cheer spot due to crowds. A What3Words location will be shared on the morning of the race.
