Hackney Quest aims to give young people, families and members of the community the practical and emotional support they need to develop and pursue their aspirations and deal positively with life’s challenges. We are recruiting a School Holiday Youth Worker volunteer to support us in our aims.
Hackney Quest aims to give young people, families and members of the community the practical and emotional support they need to develop and pursue their aspirations and deal positively with life’s challenges. We are recruiting a School Holiday Youth Worker volunteer to support us in our aims. As part of the role, you would assist 1-3 co-leaders on exciting fun trips like Ice skating, bowling & cinema. You would encourage fun & new experiences by: - being a positive role model - motivating young people (ages 8-19) to try new things and have fun. During activity: - Build rapport with young people and encourage their enjoyment and personal development through the activity. - - Supervise young people according to Hackney Quest’s policies on Health and Safety, Equal Opportunities and Safeguarding children. - Facilitate and participate in games, activities and discussion with young people Application includes interview, DBS, references and Induction – expenses paid. Give 1-2 days a week (28th July – 22nd August, 10 AM – 5 PM) and make a difference!

No experience needed we just ask volunteers to - Enjoy working with young people - Good communication skills - Ability to listen to and empathise with young people - Ability to be patient with young people - Ability to motivate young people and build relationships
Develop youth work skills, team building and leadership skills; take part in fun activities which are enjoyable by young people and help to overcome challenges.
5hrs a day – 1 or 2 days a week
