Driver (Food Bank)
St Dunstan and All Saints Stepney Parochial Church Council
Do you have a driving licence and a large car or van? As a Food Bank Driver, you would use your own vehicle to pick up the food from The Felix Project in Poplar on Friday morning and bring it to the church, where other volunteers would help you to unload and take the food into the church. Fridays, 9.30am - 11am.
We are a Food Bank which runs out of St Dunstan’s church in Stepney. We service over 500 families across Tower Hamlets, distributing the food donated to our church to the members of our community in need, supporting people out of poverty, including children. One of the services who donate a large portion of our fresh food is the Felix project, which is based on Thomas Road in Poplar E14. As a Food Bank Driver, you would use your own large car or van to pick up a pallet of fresh food from The Felix Project between 9.30am - 10am and bring it to the church, where other volunteers would help you to unload and take the food into the church. The collection point is approximately 10 minutes drive from the church.
