Food Bank Volunteer
St Dunstan and All Saints Stepney Parochial Church Council
You will be part of a friendly team taking in and preparing the food parcels, setting them out ready for collection, processing service users and logging their details, serving them with the food parcels and engaging with them, clearing away at the end of each Food Bank Session. The Food Bank is open every Tuesday and Friday from 11am to 2pm.
We are a Food Bank which runs out of St Dunstan’s Church in Stepney. We service over 500 families across Tower Hamlets, distributing the food donated to our church to members of our community in need, supporting people out of poverty, including children. The Food Bank is open every Tuesday and Friday from 11am to 2pm. We are largely staffed by volunteers, who are responsible for taking in deliveries and preparing food parcels, setting them out ready for collection, processing service users and logging their details, serving them with the food parcels and engaging with them, and clearing away at the end of each Food Bank Session.

Customer Service
We are looking for volunteers who are willing to work as part of the Food Bank team. You will undertake the full range of tasks required in a food bank session, from bagging up and putting out the food parcels, serving clients, recording usage of the service, and clearing away at the end of the session leaving it neat and tidy. Volunteers must be reliable and able to work as part of a team, and under supervision from the Food Bank Supervisor.
The benefit comes from helping a community in need and supporting people out of poverty, including children.
Ideally you will volunteer once a week on either a Tuesday or a Friday, from 10am to 2pm. However we can be flexible, so please discuss your availability with us.
