One Million Mentors
One Million Mentors are looking for mentors to inspire young people and share their experiences to brighten a young person’s future. You will be supporting the mentees in various ways such as thinking about their next steps, CV writing, confidence building or career advice. Our mentoring is hybrid and will take place online and in person at New City College, Poplar. This is a fantastic opportunity to give back to your community and support the next generation of young people.

Mentors should have at least 2 years’ experience of mentoring, or be 2 years post graduation, or retired/on a career break.
• Access to our platform’s mentor resources and online training to help you in your mentoring journey. • Create connections in your local community. • You will receive a certificate when attending our online Mentor Induction Workshops (optional) and once you complete our training. • Develop skills in guidance, listening and empathy.
One hour a month, on Wednesdays at 13:15 - 14:15 - this is a fixed timetable, 12 sessions in total - see timetable below.
