About the role Hope and Justice CIC is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Communications Volunteer to join our team. You will help us raise awareness about domestic violence, promote our services, and amplify the voices of women seeking safety and justice. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating engaging content, managing social media, and supporting a social justice cause. You will work closely with the CIC team to develop campaigns, share survivor-informed stories (handled sensitively), and communicate our mission to a wider audience. Strong communication is essential to our work. By helping us reach more people, share important information, and highlight the realities of domestic violence, you will play a key role in driving awareness, engagement, and positive change. About Hope and Justice CIC Hope and Justice CIC is a newly established community interest company dedicated to tackling domestic violence across the UK. We work to ensure that women experiencing domestic abuse can access innovative, high-quality legal representation—support that is often out of reach for many victims. Our mission is to remove barriers, promote justice, and empower women by providing pathways to safety, legal support, and long-term stability. As we grow, communication is essential to helping us expand our services, develop innovative programmes, and collaborate with partners who share our vision. Communications Volunteer Responsibilities As a Communications Volunteer, you will play a key role in helping us raise awareness of domestic violence, promote our services, and amplify the voices of women seeking safety and justice. Responsibilities may include: Content Creation & Social Media ● Developing engaging social media content to showcase the work of Hope and Justice CIC. ● Writing posts, creating graphics, and supporting awareness campaigns. ● Crafting multimedia content, such as short videos, infographics, or stories (handled sensitively and ethically). Research & Strategy ● Researching trending topics, hashtags, and communications opportunities relevant to domestic violence and women’s rights. ● Supporting the development of communications strategies to increase our reach and engagement. Campaigns & Outreach ● Assisting with the planning and execution of online campaigns or events. ● Helping to amplify the voices of survivors and partner organisations while maintaining confidentiality and trauma-informed practice. General Support ● Working alongside the CIC team to ensure communications are consistent, professional, and aligned with our mission. ● Supporting internal systems for tracking communications outputs, engagement, and impact.
